Quit Smoking For Good Today!

By Casey Wigwire

If you smoke or someone you really care about smokes, then you need to seek help to give these rotten things up and quit once and for all. Most people keep putting it off with excuses. For example, "I'll give them up next week," then next week comes and they say "I'll give them up when this box is gone." You do not even want to smoke, that is the funny part about it. Most smokers say its lovely to have a smoke after your dinner but its not, is it? That lovely dinner taste you had in your mouth just there now tastes like horrible smoke.

The interviewers are surprised because addiction to cigarettes (nicotine) has been used as a rationalization as to why it is so hard to quit smoking. The truth is, nicotine does not present the characteristics of a physical addiction. The real cause of the difficulty to simply quit smoking cigarettes is the Psychological Smoking Mechanism. If you stop cigarettes and don't remove this mechanism, you will continue to be a smoker who isn't smoking right now. It is the real reason why the smoker, after being off cigarettes for weeks or months, is compelled to start again.

I do not know one single person that actually picks up a cigarette and says to themselves that it was lovely, that smoking really tastes great. Do you know anyone that does, i do not think so. You know you have to quit, your body rejects smoke. It makes you cough, and your lungs nearly come out of your mouth, and your body is screaming out to you to tell you this is bad stuff. You probably started smoking because you were young and dumb, and in your mind you though that it would be cool to smoke, or you wanted to be big, and as you smoked more and more cigarettes you became more and more addicted.

If you keep on smoking, how much older do you think it will make you look in a few years from now? You know you want to quit smoking, and that you are addicted. There are a couple of things you can get to stop smoking, like pills and patches and inhalers and chewing gum. But all these programs have a very low success rate, and not many people really kick the habit using these.

The chemicals in the medicine interfere with the pain signals reducing them so we are more comfortable. If we take the pain medication as directed, there is little chance of addiction. If the body heals in a timely manner, the pain medicine continues to help because the healing process is reducing the need for pain. - 31372
